Reflecting on a Successful UK Construction Week at the ExCeL London

May 20, 2025

Earlier this month, UK Construction Week (UKCW) once again brought together thousands of professionals, innovators, and thought leaders from across the built environment at ExCeL London. The team at Ventosus, represented by CEO Szilard Kisapati and International Liaison Manager Richard Toy, was proud to be part of this vibrant and forward-looking event.

Over the course of several days, the Ventosus team engaged in a wide range of meaningful conversations with both longstanding partners and new connections. The show provided an excellent platform to explore industry developments, forge new collaborations, and gain insight into some of the most pressing topics shaping the future of construction and building services.

Key Themes and Takeaways

This year’s event placed a strong focus on:

  • HVAC+R innovations: The latest advancements in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technologies.
  • Digital Construction: The accelerating role of digital tools, data, and smart systems in driving efficiency and transparency across projects.
  • Net Zero: How the sector is working towards decarbonisation and the urgent need for sustainable solutions at every stage of the construction lifecycle.
  • National Retrofit Hubs: Coordinated efforts to upgrade the UK’s building stock, ensuring long-term energy efficiency and comfort in both residential and commercial properties.

The quality of the panel sessions, product showcases, and live demonstrations was exceptional. We were particularly encouraged by the collaborative spirit among stakeholders and the appetite for progress in areas that directly impact both industry resilience and environmental performance.

A Word of Thanks

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the many organisations we had the pleasure of engaging with throughout the week. In particular, a special shoutout goes to:

Carrier, Viessmann, Toshiba, Connections2Energy, Ampersand Group, Hysopt, BuildInDigital_, Castle Surveys, Glenigan, NBS, Lefixea, Trending-Now, and of course, the outstanding UKCW organising team.

Your time, insights, and openness to collaboration made for a truly rewarding experience.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going

If we didn’t manage to connect during the show, we’d love to hear from you. The conversations started at UK Construction Week are just the beginning, and we’re always eager to explore new ideas and partnerships that align with our mission at Ventosus.

We look forward to seeing how the industry continues to evolve and grow — and we’re already excited for what UKCW 2026 will bring.

Until then, let’s keep the dialogue alive.
